The mission of Abraham Lincoln University is to provide legal educational opportunity to today´s busy adults, who otherwise may not have access to law school education due to family/job commitment. Students can watch the live online interactive lectures on broadcast streaming video, view the lectures in our archives online, view the lectures on CD-ROM, or attend the interactive broadcasting studio located in Los Angeles, USA.
Tuition is less than 25% of traditional law schools. Interest-free tuition payment plan is available. Low interest academic loans (Sallie Mae) are available to qualified students. In addition, special scholarships are awarded every year.
This exciting law school provides unique innovative opportunities to prepare you for a legal career. Experienced faculty, carefully constructed class schedules, focused curriculum materials, and the very best technical support put you in an outstanding place to be a successful law student and effective practitioner. Texts and classroom materials are the same used at Yale, Columbia, and UCLA. Through the use of traditional educational materials (casebooks, hornbooks and law summaries) it is our objective to maintain standards comparable to those of resident institutions. In fact our Bar pass rates for first-time takers in the past exams were one of the highest among the distance learning law schools.
Abraham Lincoln University is approved for operation by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education. The Juris Doctor Program is registered with the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State of California. Graduates of ALU law school receive a Juris Doctor Degree and are eligible to sit for the California Bar Examination.
