Montana State University offers a variety of excellent graduate programs to students from across the United States and around the world. A mid-sized university of 12,000, including 400 international students from over 60 countries, MSU is especially known for quality programs in the fields of agriculture, architecture (NAAB), business (AACSB), computer science (CSAB), engineering (ABET), film production, nursing, and the sciences. The university attracts US$80 million annually for research and creative activities, and bright undergraduate students are encouraged to participate (http://www.montana.edu/wwwvr). New, state-of-the-art /facilities allow students easy access to over 600 computers and high tech laboratories. Convenient, on-campus housing is guaranteed to all students with many leisure activities available, including concerts, clubs and sporting events(http://www.montana.edu/wwwocl/Reslife/). Tuition costs remain reasonable when compared to those charged at institutions of similar good quality.
The university is located in Bozeman, a safe and friendly community of 35,000 people, and an ideal college town. There are many cultural activities for students to enjoy including musical performances, theater and art shows. A place of great beauty, Bozeman is surrounded by mountain ranges and rivers, clean air and starry skies. World-famous Yellowstone National Park is just 150 kilometers to the south, and the area is known for its many outdoor recreational opportunities, especially skiing, hiking, and fishing.
A professional staff is available to assist students with advice before they leave home, arrange airport pickup, early housing, and help new students adjust to campus through an international orientation program. Personal attention and assistance is available for all international students throughout their stay in Bozeman, and many enjoy participating in the International Student Organization or being matched with a local family from the Bozeman Friends of International Students group(http://www.montana.edu/wwwoie/). International students at MSU experience America at its best, and give much to the community in return.
